Gerade noch Work in Progress, jetzt fertig. Und wieder hauen mich die Farben aus reinen Pigmenten um. Grandios! Erst nach Trocknung kommt die volle Farbkraft und die ist außergewöhnlich für Linoldruck. Der Eintritt in ein neues Universums. Ich bin glücklich.

It was just a work in progress a moment ago, but now it’s finished. And once again, the colours created from pure pigments have blown me away. Amazing! After drying the full colour intensity comes through, and that’s exceptional for linocut. It’s like stepping into a whole new universe. I’m happy.

Da hatte ich tatsächlich eine Lücke in meiner Farbpalette (kennt Ihr das, eine Farbe zu vermissen die Ihr vorher noch nie verwendet habt?). Nun ja, Pigmente rausgeholt, Sortiment Erdfarben, und siehe da … ein wundervoller, fröhlich-warmer Farbton. Sofort habe ich an Italien, Espresso und mediterranes Leben gedacht …
Farben und Emotionen.

I actually had a gap in my colour palette (do you know that feeling, when you realise you’re missing a colour you’ve never used before?). Well, I took out my pigments, the earth tones range, and voilà … a wonderful, cheerful, warm colour. I immediately thought of Italy, espresso and Mediterranean life …
