"In My Room" is a song written by #BrianWilson and #GaryUsher for the American #rock #band #theBeachBoys. It was released on their 1963 album #SurferGirl. It was also released as the B-side of the "#BeTrueToYourSchool" single. The single peaked at number 23 on the US Billboard Hot 100 (the A-side peaked at number 6, for a two-sided top-40) and was eventually inducted into the #GrammyHallOfFame in 1999.

#BrianWilson just died at age 82. RIP, Brian. 🙏

#PetSounds is considered their greatest musical achievement but my favorite #BeachBoys album was #SurferGirl, even though I didn't & still don't know how to surf, because it was one of their 1st major albums & captured the spirit of their music which represented 1 of 3 major musical themes in R&R which were competing for dominance at the time: The CA sound, 2) Motown & 3) English rock.

I've got both of these & others of their recordings on both vinyl & CD.
