Constructed in 1942 by Westland Aircraft Ltd, Yeovil, Somerset, UK, Supermarine Spitfire EE853 transferred to Australia in 1943. It became part of the RAAF’s 79 SQN at Goodenough Island and later Kiriwina Island, PNG, using Squadron code UP-O. The only remaining flyable Spitfire used by the British Royal Air Force to fight Nazis during WW2, P7350, still flying today. 85 years later, there are people in America and elsewhere who believe, apparently, the Nazis weren’t the friggen bad guys. That’s some scary shit.
