The blast may have come from a collision of tiny #neutronstars forged in a #supernova
#Astronomers have spotted a distant #star that seems to have exploded twice. U.S.-based Laser Interferometer Gravitational-wave Observatory, or #LIGO, and the Virgo detector in Italy detected ripples in spacetime coming from a pair of neutron stars merging about 1.8 billion light-years away.
