To be or not to be. Finding the way. Accepting what is and what isn’t.

The astrological new year is nearly over, ending with a conjunction between the Sun and Neptune in the sign of Pisces. As the dawn approaches, so does a new way of being.

The long winter months have led to a deep sense of self familiarity. We know what we want. We know who we are. We know where the road we’re travelling down takes us. The only thing left to do is cultivate a sense of knowingness, a confidence that we have made the right decision, and a loving commitment to stay true to ourselves and the journey forward.

Remember to embrace any bumps in the road. Hold yourself with all that you are, both the joy and the pain. Feel your sorrow. Feel your shame. Feel complete. Trust that the universe has got your back; she works for you not against you. Consciousness after all, is simply the bridge between individual presence and universal force. It exists within you. It breathes through you. It perfectly aligns your soul to the wisdom of the cosmos.

Affirming the self. The joys and sorrows of spiritual responsibility.

We’re being called to take on more, to step fully into our power. There’s an underlying appreciation for the shifts that are taking place, a deep joy for all that the future has in store. Manifestation is emerging.

But even in the light of dawn, darkness still remains. Uncertainty pierces through. Have we taken on too much? Have we overestimated our capabilities? What happens if we surpass our capacity to cope? When we step into our spiritual power, these all become real and infinitely tangible possibilities. Every increase in light paves the way for an even greater void of darkness to emerge. Our job as humans is to remain unafraid of our potential to collapse, to become shells of the people we once were. Those who have reached the deepest depths where barely any light remains are our strongest warriors. They guide us when we can no longer see the way through. They instil hope where there is none. They remind us that the greatest knowledge resides in the place very few have seldomly reached.

Balancing work and pleasure. Restoring deep self nurturance.

Usually such an alignment between the Sun and Mars would ignite a spark of energy. And while that is certainly still present, there remains a deep sense of connection to the feeling realm. There is much ease, yet a tension still emerges. It’s like sitting on top of an icy lake. Above the water line there is tranquil stillness. Below the frozen surface the water continues to churn.

The churning of the water feels much akin to an incompatible flow of energies. We’ve been prioritizing ourselves more and more as of late. We’re discovering who we want to become. However, we must acknowledge that the force of becoming is no greater that the force of past being. From my perspective, it may be that case that these two forces are not so different. Are we growing more into ourselves or are we just realizing who we’ve been all along? Will we acknowledge this reality or will we continue with the facade of becoming?

You are who you are. You have always been who you are. Who you are has always been perfect. There is no becoming. There is simply a further unraveling of what is already present.

Collective dreams. Embracing idealism. Finding out how to come together.

Sometimes people tell me I’m too cynical. Other times they tell me I’m too idealistic. To me, these expressions are two sides of the same coin. While I find it important to acknowledge the drastic state of the world we occupy currently, I also see value in continuing to remain optimistic.

Wonder, curiosity, empathy, and hope are things that we are conditioned to become disconnected from at an early age. It’s a miracle in and of itself that we manage to find our way back to them. This Pisces season, I want you to be delusional. I want you to wish for a better world. I want you to act in a way that aligns with the creation of a better world. When people try to shrink down the possibilities, when they try to shame you into realism, I want you to continue to expand.

See the world for what it is. See the world for all that it is capable of. Hold onto hope, even if it’s all you have left.
