New version of my 'Capuchin' paper #sundial

More detailed calendar, declination scale, meridian elevation scale.

This altitude sundial dates back from the 16th c. Can be printed on book-sized paper. Add a weighted thread with a bead.
On my website you can find the printout for integer latitudes (41 to 52°N), and a user guide in french.

Today I learned from my medical transportation driver that in her home country of Eritrea in Northern Africa, they do not use timepieces. Instead they stand in the sun and are able to accurately determine the current time based on their cast shadow.

I thought it was so cool that they are so in tune with nature in this way, eschewing mechanical/electronic timepieces with their relentless heartbeats.
