"Forester's House in Weissenbach II (Garden)," Gustav Klimt, 1914.

Klimt spent the summer of 1914 (110 years ago!) renting this cottage in the town of Weissenbach, in Austria's lake district. There he painted this lovely scene of the ivy-covered house, with a bit of its garden, and giving a strong sense of pastoral contentment. That bench looks like a nice place to contemplate a summer evening...

I'm becoming intrigued by #OnePlaceStudies, thinking I might like to focus on a #NewHampshire town where my family had a summer cottage for almost 30 years.

Hmm....

This was our haven in 1975, right after my parents closed on it. I was 7 years old. Loved it there so much!
