Diesen schicken Graureier konnte ich gestern bei meinem wöchentlichen Mittwoch-Lauf fotografieren. Ich konnte bis auf wenige Meter heran bevor er angeflogen ist. Seien Spannweite der Flügel hat mich beeindruckt. Ich schätze fast 2 Meter.

今夜、初めて能を観に行った。I went to see my first Noh play tonight, Motomasa's Sumidagawa 隅田川, with a very interesting and fun talk with Mikata Shizuka, the lead performer playing the mother.
The talk, and the short English adaption that preceded the main Noh performance, really helped to add context, and provide the overall plotline, which from the Noh play itself would have been pretty hard to get (unless you're familiar with 15th century Japanese and the stylised nature of Noh).
I feel like I learned a lot about Noh tonight and had fun at the same time! And there was a scene towards the end of the play, where the boy's voice joins the chanting from within the burial mound, that gave me goosebumps
