Other than #nitazenes (nasty stuff), I don't think the #drugs usage patterns in #Suffolk have changed all that much - all this stuff was widespread 20 years ago when I first moved here... maybe its just a case that more folk are at least getting treatment - but you've also got the local Tory Councillor sticking her oar in and moaning about "demand reduction" (i.e more #prohibition - which they have been trying 2 decades with only limited success)

All #trafficLights in #Ipswich town centre failed today for a large part of the day.

There has been no statement to the media from #Suffolk County #Council or even the #Police !

It would be extremely unlikely that all the supplies from #UKPowerNetworks failed at the same time as they are from many different feeder pillars and substations - something bad must have happened to the controllers.

Although some #drivers claimed "traffic was flowing better", this will only be the case for dominant traffic flows, and #pedestrians would have struggled to find opportunities to cross the roads safely

I should also mention that I paid a visit to Al's Cafe last month which was also hosting the BBC Suffolk breakfast show. They were on the road for a week visiting various cafes across the county and this cafe is in Whitton which is an area in Ipswich, Suffolk. (20/02/2026)

P.S The food and drinks were marvellous which was an extra bonus and exceptionally decently priced!

#MetPol have #arrested 20 year old and 15 year old males on suspicion of stirring up the #online "school wars" posts attempting to encourage #violence across high #schools in #London and beyond (I've seen versions of these for #Ipswich schools as well).

I'm unaware of there being any actual confrontations stemming from this online campaign - reality (even when I was a teen and Internet didn't exist) is that teens aren't /that/ inclined to fight merely because they are from different schools, rivalry usually starts off due to competition for girls / territory etc in the physical space which isn't that easy to stir up from 100km away..

This man clearly deserved to be nicked and sent to #prison - horrendous #driving under the influence that caused a #crash leading to a pedestrian being seriously injured and permanently disabled - but its also a sobering reminder of just how much #CCTV is about (including on suburban residential streets) round here, and how #dashcams are used as an increasing part of evidence gathering..
