I volunteered at a wildlife park a while back. One of the workers became extremely excited when she found this big bug. And then she goddam gifted it to me. Me…..a non bug type person! I was trying to be cool about it, so she’d think I was into bugs. Took it home and gifted it to my husband. 👀🙄 who is also not a bug person.

I think they’re called giant spiny leaf insects? People keep them as pets. Apparently. I ended up releasing it, as I’d been tasked with looking after the goldfish for a weekend one time and managed to overfeed them and they all died. ☹️

This is me gifting it to my husbands shoulder 😂 so I could take a photo.
