By shooting for 3 degrees Celsius of warming, the world could slide toward a more cataclysmic 4 degrees.

Open source garden planner apps, got ideas for me? https://garden-party.io/ looks very interesting. Powerplant appears to be dead. https://openolitor.org/ and https://farmos.org/ both look great, but might be overkill for just planning your own back garden. Anything else you use and enjoy?

¯_(ツ)_/¯

There is a specific and distinct difference between #gardening and #farming. And between #professionalfarming and #subsistencefarming.

Pastoral utopias are proven unrealistic. Agricultural automation is happening, has been happening for a century, and appears likely to accelerate dramatically to get to #NetZero.

For me, the question is will it be proprietary, or #opensource?

A small talk #introduction

I'm a #Queer #LifeModel who does #Watercolours (mostly buildings I've visited) and #Pitfired #Ceramic #Sculpture (mostly human forms). I also work at a med school and I'm involved in arts #UnionOrganising

I used to be a #SW pre-covid when I lived in a city, but there are no venues for a 300km radius and I was very much venue based.

I've been happily married for nearly a decade. We have a #CavalierKingCharlesSpaniel and two ex street cats both named after the same dead white guy (we all make decisions when we're young). We fostered a third cat for a short while and she was also named after the same dead white guy.

We live in a 1910 cottage. It's in livable condition but needs a lot of work, which we're learning to do. We're a full day's travel from any major city (on the bright side we're a fairly equal distance from three capital cities).

Small scale #SubsistenceFarming is pretty standard around here as fresh food availability is low and intermittent. I have a bit of farming experience from past employment and am currently working on maintaining the existing #Orchard and building a large #VegetableGarden
