#NH #SB123 requires #medicaid pay for ear #acupuncture for people with substance abuse disorder.
This sounds great except that I’m pretty sure this means they’re going to take away people’s #methadone and #Suboxone and make them do ear acupuncture instead.
It says “access to ALL medical treatments” do not let them forget that part. ALL.
That’s not great. And it looks like it’s going to pass.
Today is an unusual day.
First of all, I am definitely #sick. I slept half the day yesterday, woke up with a frog in my throat that isn't going away, a fever, and a headache. Took my muxinex and Tylenol, started my work, cooked and ate, then took my #Suboxone.
Except... instead of getting some relief... I think the #pain is gone? Not out of notice or manageable, which is the most I can ever expect from Suboxone without the Ketamine, but it feels different.
I know those of you with #ChronicPain know what I mean, when it is constant for years, it's almost hard to tell if it is gone or you're just able to ignore it. But I could swear that I felt something like... shift in the feeling from my hip.
Context:
I have been taking Namenda (supposed to recreate the painlessness from Ketamine) for a month and a half, and it is supposed to start kicking in any week now.
I had a shot of Depo-Medrol (40) on Monday, which should take 3-5 days.
Buprenorphine works very well to prevent uncomfortable opioid withdrawal symptoms.
