I. DO. NOT. BELIEVE. IT!

I FINALLY managed to get my Dell laptop to see and connect to my WiFi!

I had to download the drivers to my desktop, transfer to a USB stick, transfer to the laptop, install, reboot, and - Lo and Behold! - it worked!

Apparently this is something of a known problem with this particular laptop? At least I found the answer on the Dell site, and was able to fix it on my own. But it's been WEEKS trying to do so!
