Tour de studio pt 7: Now we have reached one of the fundamentals of my #homestudio... And that is of course the monitors. My choice landed upon a pair Genelec 8040 BPMs. I went from a pair of KRK Rokit 6 and even though that did their job for many years the Genelecs are beyond comparison! It just hit me that my studio monitors (if you can call them that. first gen M-Audio BX8) have been with me for 20 years now. They don't sound amazing, but they're fun, loud as hell and have held up spectacularly well. Used pretty much every single day as they are my only speakers.
