As part of World Sparrow Day, Koodugal Trust and the Old Students Association of Bharathi Women’s College, Chennai organized a String Art & Sparrow Nest Box Making Workshop on 14 March 2026.
Thanks to the OSA team, faculty members, and volunteers for their support. It was great to see students actively participating and showing interest in sparrow nests and string art.

Finished making a post for Beautiful Chords today with some extra tools. It would be really easy to keep going and make a Monte Carlo for random chords, rotations of connected shapes, moire strings, shadow art with strings, etc.

String Art is what we did after the flowers & vase project.
I first tried to give the strings some order but that didn't look good, so I chose chaos.
Also played with the thought to give the string part a white background but now glad I didn't.
Using golden nails was also a really good choice. They give the work more colour variation and are a good hint to the characters original colours, which are yellow, white and dark-grey/purple.
Accel is a new character from the upcoming DLC for the game Lunistice made by @deke.studio on Bluesky.

Since I'm in my job measures creative group, I finally get around doing art/craft again and try things I didn't do before. :3
It really helps to have a scheduled time for that and do it with others. It makes me wish we would have an art café or meet somewhere, that would be really fun!
Well, maybe there is one somewhere and I just don't know? I only know about some expensive one where everyone does 1:1 the same.
Anyway, that's what we did the first 2 sessions:
Bnnuy where I tested acrylic paint marker for the first time.
We were supposed to draw something without lifting the pen. Tried some things, in the end bnnuy it was.
Nothing too special or fancy.
Also got taught how to make a braided keychain.
