Aotearoa really has some insane rules around workers #striking. My understanding is this. Unions gave away a lot of worker power at some point in time. I blew in here so don’t know all the history. It just feels like most unions do the minimum for workers, but as a worker, your only rights are via the union. A general strike by all public service workers feels necessary right now, and yet my understanding is you can’t strike unless it is a collective action with a union. #NZPol #austerity #MassPublicServiceRedundancies
