Ich mag ja den Durchblick, den Straßenbahnen, U-Bahnen, S-Bahnen und einige Regionalzüge bieten, wo man durch lange Wagen durchblicken kann. Die regelmäßig wiederholten Sitze, Haltestangen, Displays und Lampen erzeugen interessante Muster. Die neuen Rostocker Straßenbahnen (Stadler TINA) wirken auf mich im Innenraum immer ziemlich steril. Dieses Schwarzweißfoto bringt das gut rüber, denke ich.

I really like the view you get on trams, subways, commuter trains, and some regional trains, where you can see right through the long cars. The repeatedly recurring seats, handrails, displays, and lamps create interesting patterns. The new #Rostock trams (Stadler TINA) always seem pretty sterile to me inside. I think this black-and-white photo captures that well.

Tucked away in the woodlands of Pennsylvania lies a unique fleet of streamlined 1930s and 1950s streetcars. These St Louis and Pullman-Standard carriages have glorious vintage Americana vibes.

Many of these date to the height of the Streamline Moderne era. At this time, streamlined aerodynamic forms replaced the geometric shapes and excessive ornamentation of the earlier Art Deco style.
