I love the way people name segments on #Strava. Sometimes they are straightforward, but they are just as often whimsical or mysterious.

Some of today’s segments:

Gross to the Blinking light
SNS SOUTH BOUND
Deposito IDA
Downright Handy
to the barn...
Deposito VUELTA

I’ve been on one of these segments, Strava tells me, 111 times. I know the road, but not what’s behind the name.

That’s a great thing about #bikes. There’s always some wonder in a bike ride.
