I want to give this one a try on #ElectricGuitar ... have put a 074 string on one of my #strandberg guitars to tune it to #DropG but I would say it is pushing it a bit on the 26.25'' scale length. But should be enough for some fun jamming along.

Hello, world … in case you haven’t heard, the northeastern United States is in the middle of a doozy of a snowstorm …

this was the view of my bedroom window when I got up this morning.

Are you wondering “why the Swedish flag?”

My studio doesn’t have enough room remaining for me to practice guitar, so the bedroom has become the dedicated guitar space.

My gorgeous .strandberg* electric guitar is – like Ola Strandberg – very Swedish, and that lovely bit of stained glass is my way of dedicating the space to serious practice.

After years of unavailability, the .strandberg* custom guitar stand has been redesigned, and mine arrived today.

It weighs next to nothing, and consists of two pieces that slide together.

It’s quite portable … you separate the two shapes, stack them together (neodymium magnets lock them together) and they fit in the Venture gig bag with the guitar.

I love my NX Prog 6; she’s named either Alaska or Cascadia, depending on which comes to mind first.

An early-morning delivery just arrived:

a set of D’Addario NYXL #guitar strings (they’re amazing, and seem to last forever)

and the first deck of playing cards I’ve ever purchased. Why?

I’m about to change the strings on my beloved #strandberg Prog NX 6 #headless guitar.

It has a floating tremolo bridge … and the cards are exactly the right width to fit underneath, and hold the bridge in place while the strings are being changed.

I’ll only use enough cards to set the perfect height. Voilà!
