I wasn’t certain how Black Monk would feel as a protocol, but this is working well.
Having a map for scene locations is great.
My character, the grey man, is already covered in boils and the rest of the characters want to sacrifice me.
Printing out stuff for rpg playtest tomorrow. Korean War MASH Praxis, a Black Monk Protocol, and The Spirits and Wolds of Old Salem Protocol.
Two of those will be in Protocol Compendium Vol 3.
I don’t get money from the project, I’m just an enthusiastic backer and occasional proof reader.
It’ll be good to game.

It’s super hard to get attention for a KS campaign when you aren’t shelling out hundreds for advertising.
I like jim’s Protocol games, they are fantastic one shot story games.
One of the new ones is an alternate version of Home, one of my favorites. I’m also really curious about Black Monk.
Been thinking about hacking together a lighter rpg for the barracks drama of a mechwarrior campaign. Use Alpha Strike for the skirmishes, but something more story game for the outside the mech RP.
Games to look at for inspiration, Night Witches, Last Fleet, Lancer, Beam Saber.

One of my favorites is Home, a scenario based on Anabasis, Xenophon’s perilous journey home after defeat by the Persians. Home is set in a fantasy world, but the drama and danger are the same.

He’s finished his 75th Protocol game and putting them all in a 3 volume collection.
When I first met jim at a game con we played Scarecrow and it was one of the best RP experiences I’ve ever had.
Today for no particular reason I was reminded that I have an RPG by John Wick where you play as sentient magical artifacts.
