Slight upside. Mam get an extra tenner in for Bereaved Partner's pension and an extra fiver on the fuel allowance. It doesn't help that the "fuel" has gone up more than a fiver in the last year... so that all cancels out.
Thankfully, the tree that fell with a couple of inches from the house during #StormEowyn in January is getting some use. #noxp

@mikrotik Is it possible to buy a replacement dish for the RBLHGG-60ad? Storm Éowyn severely damaged the hayshed mine was mounted on so it swung by the cable and got smashed up. Remarkably all I had to do was replace the Ethernet cable and it works. Obviously I need to get it properly mounted again
It seems like they’re clearing more than just the trees knocked by the storm - they seem to have been working 24/7 since I posted this.
It’s not loud enough to interrupt sleep but there is constant audible noise. Yay Sitka spruce /s
Upside: Fallen trees from Storm Éowyn in the private forestry beside us are being removed by contractors this week - so we should see the ones that have fallen into our land removed
Downside: The contractors start at 5:30am and it’s not a quiet process
