JanetRoof Update: wall now cleared in the main. We did find a lot of sand and rubble behind the lathe. It is likely that this was causing our damp problems - acting as a wick between the stone wall and the lathe and plaster interior. #HouseRestoration #StormAmy #Damp
House Update: roofer back today because we had a new leak 😭😭😭 - turned out he missed a but of lead flashing - so no harm done and is replacing it today. A much more serious problem is the other wall which is causing a lot of consternation. Today’s job is stripping it out to see if there’s any rubble behind causing the damp to gather. Then we’ll need it framed and boarded which I cannot do myself so hoping to get a price next week. Need to get this done before the insurance guys come back to decorate. #OldHouse #StormAmy #Insurance
