What pisses me off about these people is that their gripe with fuel costs, which by the way is extortionate here in Ireland, isn't about taking a stand at a social level to try and introduce better government at a state and rural passage. It's not even about their care for fellow humans. It's just personal and they all happen to be affected by the same issue. None of these protesters will be campaigning for the end of fossil fuels and would be the first to run over #StopOil protesters.

the current closure of #StraitOfHormuz due to #USA #Israel #war on #iran (aka #IranWar) has shown that, #oil is embedded in every critical part of the whole global system, ranging from transportation (obvious) to food security, and even #semiconductor & other industries. it also shows that, as always, current movements of "#StopOil" & co miss the bigger picture(!) presenting #EVs *the solution* for #ClimateCrisis as to "end dependence on fossil fuels" is kind of "great leap forward" thinking
