Lots and lots of castles, forts, burial mounds, and churches in this area of the Welsh borderlands ... but today I went to seek out one of our few stone circles, imaginatively called 'Four Stones'.

Apparently, there may have been a 5th stone which is now the font in a local church, so went there too.

Bowl Rock sits near Trencrom Hill in Cornwall. It carries one of the most entertaining pieces of local folklore in the region. At first glance it looks like a simple rounded granite boulder resting in the grass. But according to Cornish tradition, this was no ordinary stone.
