1979 Vintage Audio Equipment in a Modern Home Setting

The image captures a piece of audio equipment from what appears to be the late '70s, judging by its design and style. It is composed of multiple units stacked on top of each other with different functions; it includes a cassette player, a radio tuner, an amplifier, and possibly a turntable based on the visible components.

The image showcases various knobs, dials, and buttons that are characteristic of vintage audio equipment from this era.
These devices were commonly used before digital technology became prevalent in everyday life for playing music or other recorded media.
There's also a reflection seen through what seems like a glass door showing part of the outside environment, suggesting an indoor setting.

Happy daze. I decided to stop in a thrift store after running the errands I actually needed to do... and I found a 5 disc DVD player!

It plays all kinds of stuff. Except SACDs. It even came with the original remote and power cord!
There doesn't seem to be a [shuffle] mode at all but, that's okay. For $7 this'll do.

Putting this here mainly so I don't forget to read it tomorrow. Also, those speakers look incredible.

1964 An advertisement for stereo equipment from the 1960s.

The image shows a black and white advertisement featuring two stereo speakers and a record player.
In the foreground, there's text that reads "you are about to hear the magnificent the exciting new stereo 201.
Stereo 201." This is likely an example of a retro-futuristic product announcement or a piece of historical technology advertising.

On old #StereoEquipment you'd have a volume knob and another knob that said 'Tone' beside it.

And you'd fiddle with the knob, turning it up and down, trying to work out what it actually did.
