[Not a lie. The CIA wasn’t involved in its creation. It was given to them.]

The dossier was referenced only briefly in the assessment & a summary of its allegations was attached to a classified version of the report. #Brennan has said the #CIA opposed including the #SteeleDossier in the report & the classified summary was only included as part of a compromise with the #FBI.

Known as the #SteeleDossier after its author, fmr British intelligence officer Christopher Steele, the document was funded by Trump's political opponents & included salacious rumors about alleged links between his 2016 campaign & Moscow, which #Trump strenuously denied. [but it was just 1 document in the investigation]
