An impressive Rasender Roland steam locomotive, No. 99 4801. Nearly 90 years old, this engine is one of the most famous locomotives on the Rasender Roland railway.
Some facts:
* Built in 1938 by Henschel & Sohn in Kassel.
* Originally operated in central Germany before being transferred to Rügen in the 1960s.
* With a top speed of 45 km/h, it was among the fastest 750 mm-gauge steam locomotives in Germany.
