#gravity ” (
#Herdentrieb [herd instinct], basically ), even though, at the same time, I hate it.
Things can
#change, they can be broken and they can be rebuilt; in times like these,
#disruption by means of
#people power is what’s desperately needed – no less, no
#reforms!
If, on the one hand, major centers of this type of gravity were to take a true and instant leap and move their primary
#publishing away from
#X, and on the other hand, content
#accessibility – advanced and global
#searchability and
#filtering in particular – were to see major improvements, then we might at one point see a chain reaction of major user
#migration and eventual emergence of an X like experience.
As an individual and „regular“ participant, a lot of
#patience and
#steadfastness are required in order to not keep feeding the
#monster but X and its crowd constantly make it easier because their signal to
#noise ratio keeps worsening by the minute.
What’s missing outside of X,
#Telegram etc. is certain essential
#content, like the
#videos shared by
#activists around the world, documenting
#injustices of all kinds. Naturally, a handful of people like us can’t replicate those in the
#Fediverse, so – repeating my thesis – without major publishing and
#distribution hubs moving here, one will always have to resort to X in order not to miss out.
So, to be frank and blunt: where are all those
#leftist and pro-
#Palestinian groups, and what’s the hold-up? 🤷♂️
Another reason (not to be underestimated) why people are reluctant to leave X is that the
#platform gives the impression that there was meaningful
#interaction between the “
#elites “ and the
#masses – a
#sinister ploy of
#illusion and
#delusions: they • don’t • care – at all! Dismantlement of the
#myth of the
#participatory feature of X is key; there’s neither
#equality nor
#fairness there, but without those, it can never be a tool of
#democracy.
