As this V4V space grows and has entered the Bitcoin space the true meaning of V4V gets lost and I’m seeing people focus on growth and making money. This is all important at some level to keep things going but that’s never been my interest in this V4V space and journey. This V4V Boostagram Ball live thing is a great example of this for me. I see Bitcoin and NostrBros only focused on how do we get artist paid and grow the space and forgetting how this all started. This thing is backed by sponsors and influencers that I don’t agree with so I’ve don’t 0 to promote it. Anyone that’s followed me long enough knows that I’m always shilling stuff but I can’t promote this because it seems misaligned to me and I’m not really that interested in it tbh. I had a similar feeling about the Bands at Bitcoin thing in Nashville. I wasn’t that interested until day of when I tuned in and it hooked me. With BB live being a week away I’m starting to shift my feelings in the same way and getting excited about it again. With all of the wallet stuff happening, BTC hitting 100k and me being interested in the underdogs and indie devs in this PC 2.0 space I’m in I find myself really evaluating where I focus my Time, Talent and Tressure. I guess my point to all of this is that this is the beauty of V4V. I get to choose how I interact with it, if at all. This post started off as a plug for an episode that OpenMike did about BB live and took a turn but this is just something I’ve been thinking about over the past few months and wanted to share it. I’m not again anyone in this space and actually I think this is a sign that it is growing because it’s branching off in different directions but I keep finding myself stripping away to BS a looking for the purity of it all.
