*Absurd inter-franchise weekend poll time…*

There seems to be a trend for our favourite scifi franchises towards ***adorable-but-horrific-creatures*** featuring rounded faces, huge eyes and big mouths full of sharp and nasties.

We’ve been discussing this over at Quark’s Bar at StarTrek.website on Lemmy, but a poll here sounds like an idea too.

Please boost after voting to increase the reach.

***Who would win?*** : Moopsy vs Scarab an inter franchise absurdity - Star Trek Website

Picking up on what seems to be a new trend in the adorable-but-horrific-creature category, I’m bringing this inter-franchise question here for lack of another community where it wouldn’t be off topic. Lower Decks gave us the adorable bone-drinking, huge mouthed horror called Moopsy. Now the Monsterverse has actually given us some big eyed, round-faced horrors called Scarabs that, when they look up at the heroes, seem actually cute, mouths full of teeth, shiny dark shells, and little tentacles notwithstanding. Not sure this fits with Risa, so I’m hoping the admin will indulge me here. In the spirit of great monster face offs : WHO WOULD WIN?!! Und das Tendi-Selfie zur Episode. 🥰@vierunterdeck #StarTrekLowerDecks
#StarfleetAcademy's "The Life of the Stars"⬆️ features a graphic of Arcturian fungus. The Arcturians are a species of clones originally introduced in "Star Trek: The Motion Picture"⬇️ but barely seen in the film. They were later seen much better on #StarTrekLowerDecks.

"Whoa. What? Stop. You're into Klingon acid punk?"

I have very strong feelings of affection towards Star Trek: Lower Decks 🥰 You know how kids don't have a concept of being childish and instead everything cool is awesome? Like, Trek awesome? That's how exciting it is for me to watch every episode. For instance, "We'll always have Tom Paris" (2x03) features...Tom Paris! 😁

I think it’s fair to say that every single #StarTrek series ended too early

But if there’s one that could have kept going forever, it’s #StarTrekLowerDecks

Even though Sisko's Creole Kitchen first appeared in #StarTrekDS9's "Homefront" and "Paradise Lost", the huge neon sign only appeared in "Image in the Sand"⬆️ and then in #StarTrekLowerDecks' "Grounded"⬅️. The sign appears again in #StarfleetAcademy's "Series Acclimation Mil"➡️ and the name of the restaurant is spoken for the first time ⬇️.
