I was trying to draw a realistic fern, gave up, then started drawing anti-realistically and eventually this happened. I quite like how it turned out. It's inspired by the forests of Stanley Park; see if you can identify all the species represented! (Or at least the genera!)

TransLink, in partnership with the City of Vancouver and Park Board, is proposing a new weekend-only seasonal bus route around the perimeter of Stanley Park.

The bus route is designed to make nature more accessible by providing direct connections to destinations around Stanley Park, helping reduce parking demand and vehicle congestion in the park.

An additional image to my post yesterday - this incredible carving is hidden in plain sight, next to the concrete jungle of downtown #Vancouver. Carved into a massive trunk it feels like the face of an old tree spirit or protector of the forests here.
