My stammer is a strange beast.

Talking to my wife about my experience at the vets today.

Was a bit flustered so my stammer was "on form" so to speak.

Managed to say words like "Recalcitrant" and "contretemps" and "indisposed" to the vet with no problem..

Struggled to form the words "Cat", "sick" , "sleepy" etc.

it's a throwback to my school days on "the stage". I could say "Indubitably" easier than I could say "yes" because I wasn't being me. I was playing a character usually.

Even now 56, I find myself speaking in a rather old fashioned loquacious and, I dare say, affected pompous manner because I'm playing a character.

Left to my own devices and my "normal" speaking voice.. I struggle to say even the simplest sentences.

The more florid and purple ones seem to flow all too easily XD

I have a slight #stammer that only usually happens if I'm very tired or very stressed. It hardly ever happens and yet, when it does, it's been the cause of much embarrassment. To see the look of horror on the face of the person you're trying to talk to is just horrible, which then compounds the situation. I've never told anyone this before. So well done to the likes of Kitty and Jesse making a difference.

I have several #Speech #Defects.

My #Stammer is my most common one but I have a tendency to #Spoonerisms too.

This is less a speech problem and more an indicator of my confused mixed up brain. 9/10 it's funny but it can be annoying. ( I STILL say ParCark instead of CarPark. EVERY SINGLE F***ING TIME!)

anyway yesterday I couldn't get a phrase out leaving me and my wife in tears of laughter.

I heard a "Thumble of Runder but did't see any Fighting lashes"

I said it THREE times goddammit !
