'”Stairmaster” 2,7 x 2,3m commissioned to motivate people to use the stairs at the head quarters of Vasakronan (a real estate company) in Stockholm. Painted in my studio on 3 MDF-pieces. Mounted at location on the 3rd floor.' @andreasenglundart May 22, 2018

"Technique-wise, I’m drawn to the old masters—Anders Zorn’s my guy, his bold grip on light and shadow. But for ideas, it’s Banksy’s sly, subversive edge, flipping power on its head, or David LaChapelle’s staged, over-the-top worlds that mix the raw and dazzling.... Life’s messy and funny; I just paint it that way." 2025 interview https://culturalee.art/culturalee-in-conversation-with-andreas-englund/

'What was the inspiration behind the Life of the Superhero series?
I have always been inspired by the human body which led me to the world of greek classic sculpture. From there the ”modern” greek hero – the superhero originated. In my case I wanted to portray the human aspects – not being perfect and the superhero became the natural symbol to dramatize these flaws – since he is suposed to be more or less ”perfect”.
...
He is based on me and my father. He then became more personal to me and through him I can portray my own shortcomings.'

"I’ve just finished this wall at @vasakronanab curated by @strangefruit_curator :) It’s an indoor wall (270*420cm) in a pretty tight space. I took it as a great opportunity to try to challenge myself a little and not rely on the cans too much as well as letting the perfectionist stay home. Tried to go more loose and mostly use rollers and brushes. Leaving the mistakes in a little more Bob Ross-style :)" @linuslundin April 24, 2018

"Stairwell in the heart of the city painted by some great street art artists. Open for the public during regular working hours." https://streetartcities.com/cities/stockholm/markers/24010
⠀⠀⠀
"I grew up in a small village in Sweden. There wasn’t much to do there. Painting my first wall was more or less just something I did to get some excitement. I wasn’t into art or anything like that at the time. Later I got to know other writers from the area and they inspired me a lot. Even though it was a small town, the quality of the painters was really high. I got hooked and have been drawing and painting ever since, even though it hasn’t been on walls all the time.
...
I’m always watching stuff in everyday life though that inspires my art work. I’ve gotten lots of weird looks in the subway from staring at people’s faces for too long…" - 2016 interview https://streetartunitedstates.com/interview-yash/

My wife walking across the central hall of château the Seneffe (1768), Seneffe, Belgium, 2025

The château de Seneffe was built between 1763 and 1768 by the architect Laurent-Benoît Dewez for Julien Depestre, a newly wealthy business man who became the Count of Seneffe and Turnhout in 1767. In the nineteenth century it became the property of the Philippson family, who restored the then almost a century old mannor and added modern amenities. After being confiscated during World War II, it served various purposes, including a school, before being abandoned and looted. It eventually was saved from demolition and restored as a museum in 1995.

In the 18th century, wrought iron saw increased use in stairwell construction, particularly for balusters, alongside stone or wooden treads and handrails. The staircase of château the Seneffe is a fine example of this.

The façade of the dwelling, in Neo-Classical style, was built in blue stone that came from Feluy and Ecaussinnes. It’s courtyard is flanked by two long Palladian galleries with ionic columns, which house statues and vases sculpted in the antique style by Laurent Tamine, and lead to a chapel and living quarters, respectively.
