My super hacky NAD remote control over WiFi setup. An ESP-01S with Tasmota that gets its power from an ESP32-A1S board in the back. The black cable goes to the IR IN input of my NAD C 320BEE amp.
Bummer I can't do this with the squeezelite-esp32 firmware but I understand an IR send feature probably won't work: https://github.com/sle118/squeezelite-esp32/issues/229
Time to ditch my Chromecast devices. Just installed Lyrion Music Server on my Raspberry Pi home server, powered up the ESP32-A1S Audio Kit I bought recently that has squeezelite-esp32 on it, added the Squeezebox (Lyrion Music Server) integration to my Home Assistant server and bam! instantly there's an awesome track playing in the attic.
