Finished Agent Hamilton Season 2 and it’s quietly one of the more grounded spy thrillers out there. No over-the-top villain plots, just smart, tense intel work and cases that matter.

Nordic storytelling + spy drama = 👌

Agent Hamilton (Season 2 Review) | Grounded Spy Work in a Nice Procedural Format

Agent Hamilton Season 2 trades global conspiracy for case-by-case intel work, and it works. With tight pacing, grounded missions, and Jakob Oftebro’s subtle intensity, this Scandi spy series hits a…

I just found out about this creepy free #Telly TV. You guys this company is sending free 55 inch smart TVs to people who want them, but it’s this weird split screen thing that will ads play on the bottom the whole time, and there’s a camera in the middle, and if you try to do anything to keep it from tracking you they charge you for the TV. And if you want to return it you have to pay to return it.

It’s creepy as hell. Apparently you have to let it have all kinds of data but the camera on it will also track how many people are watching the TV, so you’re not allowed to put it in your bedroom even though they claim they don’t record anything.

You can buy a cheap generic TV from Walmart that doesn’t connect to the Internet and spy on you. Please don’t get a free spy TV.

I stole this picture from an old Reddit thread that was created because people couldn’t figure out how to shut the bottom screen off. I guess even if you turn your TV off that ad strip and the spy part still runs.

Please don’t do this to yourself. If you do anything to try to keep it from tracking you they just bill your credit card for the whole TV. And if you don’t want it you have to pay to send it back.

The 1967-68 UK TV series Man in a Suitcase takes the basic ITC action-adventure formula and adds a hardboiled flavour, real toughness, grittiness, plus seedy downmarket glamour. And more than a hint of film noir. The best of all the ITC series.

Peter Leslie’s The Cornish Pixie Affair, from 1967, the fifth original novel based on the TV spy series The Girl from UNCLE starts with a murder in a circus (a setting that is used extremely well). Statuettes of pixies play a role. Enjoyable.

Venus Smith, the forgotten Avengers girl. She was Steed's partner in six 1963 episodes. Fascinatingly different from the other Avengers girls. She had zero combat skills but she was a useful agent. And quite charming.

The Interrogators, a great 1969 Tara King episode of The Avengers, written by Richard Harris and Brian Clemens. Christopher Lee guest stars. Starts with a British agent being interrogated by the bad guys, then the twists begin.

At the time Brian Clemens' tough gritty violent British TV spy series The Professionals attracted a lot of attention and some outrage. The 1979 3rd season is pretty strong with just one dud episode. Stylish and action-packed.

W. Howard Baker’s Storm Over Rockall, the third of the six Danger Man TV tie-in novels. It's an original novel but with similarities to the TV episode Not So Jolly Roger. Someone is sabotaging a British rocket program. It could the Russians, or it could be the Americans.
