๐ฃWhat's your first read of 2023?
Burgis is a feel good writer for me. I adored ๐๐ฅ๐๐ก๐ก๐จ๐ฌ๐๐ฅ๐ฉ a few years ago and ๐๐๐๐ก๐๐จ ๐๐ฃ๐ ๐๐๐ฃ๐จ๐๐๐๐ก๐๐ฉ๐ฎ last year. Had a feeling this would be a 5 โญ to start 2023 off right.
Mia has a knack for magical metal and Leander can control the unliving. She's oblivious to anyone because trauma while he pines for the unexpectedly curmudgeon dogooder. Not quite grumpy sunshine but close.
Fun romance with adventures, only one bed trope, and a necromancer ball that puts previous ones to shame.
As a collection of short stories for patrons, she used Kickstarter to make ๐๐ค๐ค๐ ๐๐๐๐๐๐๐ค๐ง๐จ more widely available. Indie author getting her work out there. And Burgis does a great job of organic time telling between the different stories. Smooth transitions are love in an audiobook.
