Ralf Schneider#SplitEnz veröffentlichten ihr Debütalbum #MentalNotes im Juli 1975 über White Cloud Records in Neuseeland. Das Album erreichte Platz 7 der neuseeländischen Charts und Platz 35 in Australien. Die Band um Tim Finn und Phil Judd nahm das Album in nur zwei Wochen während Mai und Juni 1975 in den Festival Studios 24 in Sydney auf. Das Album-Cover gestaltete Bandmitglied Phil Judd selbst.
