Tati inserted a collapsing boat-scene in the original movie. He shot an extra, that's the people running away on the beach following this shark-tooth sequence as a parody of Steven Spielberg’s Jaws (1975). This was inserted in his 1978 released version of Les Vacances.

This was Spielberg, after Duel but before Jaws. Never released on any format because it sucks. No sex, no violence, no profanity, no story, no point. Perfect riffing material.
