After having discovered the #SouthernReach series by #JeffVanderMeer late and reading it this fall, I’m now reading the fourth book, the prequel, #Absolution. This is such wild, crazy unique stuff (it’s sci-fi/fantasy/horror/mystery/ecoterrorism). Love it and don’t understand 60% of it :-) #books #booksky #reading

Ich kam endlich dazu, #ausloeschung von #jeffvandermeer zu lesen, über das @loeff mit Carina im #KapitelEins-Podcast gesprochen hatte - ich habe die Folge damals nach der Einleitung abgebrochen, damit ich nicht gespoilert werde!

Die Idee hat mir gefallen; gruselig fand ich es (zum Glück) nicht, ich glaube, da habe ich zu wenig Fantasie für 😬

Was ich echt nicht verstehe, sind die ganzen Fehler im Text - hat das denn niemand Korrektur gelesen?! 🫣

Read "Annihilation" today (finished the book in one day). Pretty interesting read. It's not that long and there isn't a lot happening in it, but the atmosphere is so incredibly dense. Will probably read the other books in the series at a later point in time, but for now it's back to Gryphon books with "The Gryphon Generation Book 4: Ascension".
