Today was a shorter day. It started out not so nice: fog, rain and wind. Luckily the fog lifted after an hour so we were rewarded with beautiful views from the Downs. The rain stopped soon as well and the wind was not too bad. All in all a lovely day. Heerlijk uitwaaien!

Today's walk was tougher than I expected. With slippery chalk and hard flint it was slow going. It was still a very beautiful day though. We must have had the only sunny weather in the whole of England.

Super excited about our hike this weekend. I asked my son if he'd checked the weather and he said, "who cares what the weather will be? We'll go either way" which is true and a super cool attitude to have. It won't be a very long hike each day but probably very muddy on account of the rain we've been having. None of that matters, I'll just be happy to be outside for most of the weekend.

Auf den Seven Sisters geht’s zu wie auf dem Nanga Parbat (minus Leichen). Die Beschäftigung zweier Rucksack-unterm-Arsch-Trägerinnen (das hat man noch?)erinnerte mich an das Wichtigste beim Besuch von internationalen Attraktionen (es hat hier etwa so viele Chines*innen wie auf dem Jungfraujoch). #SouthDownsWay
