I was playing Episode Aigis for a while but then I ran into a very punishing boss fight and decided to try and finish the #SoulHackers2 DLC I bought at the beginning of 2025.

I did most of it on hard mode but then I came across a boss battle that had me lower the difficulty to normal, which allowed me to get through it without switching things up too much. And then there was Nana.

I spent hours across multiple days trying to beat her on normal mode. Eventually I left the DLC dungeon to fuse demons and see what else I could get to help me out. If I was one level higher I could’ve acquired multiple stronger demons but I didn’t want to grind so I settled with what I could get.

Eventually I beat her and it was very exciting. It’s been a while since I was so invested in a game.

I thought I would be able to say I finished the DLC after that but apparently there is a super boss with a recommended level of 99 which is over 30 levels higher than where I am!

No thanks.

I had a great time jumping back in and I loved the challenge it offered but I’m going to call that the end.

i'd drawn this before soul hackers 2 actually released. i have very conflicted thoughts about that game - i think i was too out of the loop to know that this particular frost was locked behind a paywall, for one thing - but going back over my old work i'm surprised this one sorta holds up. ai-ho!
