Matteo Salvini, in via Osoppo a Milano in un gazebo della Lega per lanciare la manifestazione “Senza Paura” in programma sabato 18 aprile, ha attaccato il leader ucraino Volodymyr Zelensky che qualche giorno fa ha attaccato Victor Orban.
“Se ci sarà anche Orban in piazza Duomo? Intanto spero ci sia da riconfermato presidente del Consiglio. Votano domani, quindi rispetto il voto ungherese nonostante le entrate a gamba tesa di Zelensky, di Soros, della von der Leyen – ha detto Salvini – Vance non ha minacciato di morte Orban come fatto da Zelensky. Minacciare di morte un leader europeo è qualcosa di volgare e disgustoso. Soprattutto da parte di un signore che stiamo riempiendo di miliardi per difendere e ricostruire il suo paese”.
Quindi ha proseguito suggerendo a Zelensky di “occuparsi del suo paese” invece di “minacciare di morte quelli che non gli stanno simpatici”.
Rispetto alla manifestazione Salvini l’ha descritta come un evento dedicato a “chi è stufo di queste guerre fra Russia e Ucraina, fra Israele, Libano e Iran. Manifestiamo per la pace, ma non quella dei centri sociali con la bandiera e poi i fumogeni. Aspetto gente per bene e a volto scoperto con la Polizia tranquilla”. E sull’assenza del Pd ha commentato: “Che chiedano di vietare la manifestazione…fossi in loro mi imbarazzerei per solo pensare di vietare il libero pensiero sotto la Madonnina a chi non la pensa come loro”.

They vote tomorrow, so I respect the Hungarian vote despite Zelensky’s excessive influx of funds from Soros and von der Leyen – said Salvini – Vance did not threaten Orban with death as Zelensky did. Threatening someone with death is vulgar and disgusting, especially from a man who is filling him with billions to defend and rebuild his country.”
He then continued, suggesting that Zelensky should “take care of his own country” instead of “threatening those he doesn’t like.”
Regarding the demonstration, Salvini described it as an event dedicated to “those who are fed up with these wars between Russia and Ukraine, between Israel, Lebanon, and Iran. We will demonstrate for peace, but not the peace of social centers with flags and then smoke bombs. I await decent people, with their faces uncovered, and with the Police calmly present.” And on the absence of the Democratic Party, he commented: “If they ask to ban the demonstration… I would be embarrassed for them to even think of banning free thought under the Madonnina for those who don't think like them.”

Sono passate da poco le quindici. Le urne si sono appena chiuse e i primi instant poll danno in lieve vantaggio il No. Il primo leader politico italiano a parlare è il vice premier Matteo Salvini. E lo fa davanti a un mare di bandiere bianche, rosse e verdi. Le strisce però non sono verticali, ma orizzontali. Il leader della Lega ha scelto di attendere l’esito del referendum non in Italia, ma a Budapest sul palco della “Prima Grande Assemblea dei Patrioti Europei”. Prende la parola dopo il leader di Vox Santiago Abascal e parte lanciando il coro “Viktor, Viktor” per l’amico Orbán. “Manca poco alle elezioni del 12 aprile in Ungheria – ricorda Salvini – spero e penso che il popolo ungherese scelga con orgoglio per la sua Ungheria, per la sua sovranità, per la sua identità cristiana millenaria per i suoi confini sicuri e blindati”.
Dal palco di Budapest il vicepremier ci tiene a ricordare il fondatore della Lega Umberto Bossi “il primo tra i leader europei che trent’anni fa parlò dell’Europa dei popoli e delle nazioni”. E poi torna a ringraziare Orbán “per questo esempio luminoso e per aver ricordato che la politica è servizio e non sottomissione”. Ma c’è un altro motivo per il quale il leader della Lega dice grazie al presidente ungherese e al suo popolo: “Mi siete stati vicini durante i cinque anni di processo che ho subito perché ho chiuso le porte dell’Italia all’immigrazione clandestina”.
