When death decided to walk among the living as Matilda, she caused one of the core's blood vessels to burst, creating a rift in reality. This rift works like purgatory where the dead get transported here and wait for Matilda to arrive to guide them into the afterlife. The living also stop by sometimes to reminisce. In the distance, you can see old memories pass by and hanging portraits of familiar faces.
