So from the reports of the arrest I learn that one of the founders of the flag-hoisting racist group that acts like it owns public lampposts lives in #Solihull.

It always seemed very odd to me that this seemed very concentrated in Solihull and its environs. Now I know why.

In that vein of tourist attractions: You could have a day trip to #Melbicks, whilst you are there. Just not on Easter Sunday or Monday. Because it's closed.

The West Midlands Combined Authority (WMCA) Board on 13 March 2026 considered a Full Business Case to procure around 24 battery-electric articulated “tram-like” #buses and charging infrastructure for the Sprint bus rapid #transit scheme. The project, part of a wider vision for improved public #transport, would operate along the A34 and A45 corridors linking #Walsall, #Birmingham and #Solihull. The report recommends approving £25.96m in funding, combining CRSTS and Department for Transport ZEBRA grants, and delegating contract authority. The preferred option offers strong strategic fit and value for money, with a positive benefit-cost ratio, improved accessibility, reduced emissions and faster journeys. Further work is required on the ticketing model. Sprint is expected to launch with franchised bus services from October 2027.

Name 8 #counties in the #UnitedKingdom that do not have the letter 'r' in their names.

Names must be the common Anglo-Saxon-derived ones. Latin and French names like Salop and Oxonia are not allowed.

#Solihull, as its inmates will attest, is a metropolitan borough, not a county.

Hints:

There are places in the U.K. that are not in England. But 'Forfarshire' definitely has 'r's in it.
