@peterjriley2024 @DoomsdaysCW I know #solidstate #batteries are supposed to be safer while enabling lithium anodes, and it's true that they don't have organic solvents that can turn into toxic fumes when burned. However, some solid electrolytes are so inflexible that the pressures built up at the interface with #lithium metal become enormous, and instead of giving a little, they just fracture, giving lithium dendrites a path to contact the cathode and create a catastrophic short... ¯\_(ᵕ—ᴗ—)_/¯
