＜職場に残す はんだゴテ＞

今月（2026.01）末で退職するので私物の大半は持ち帰った。その中にはHakko FX-600も含まれている。それを持ち帰ってしまうと職場の実験室には、はんだごて(Soldering Iron)が存在しなくなる。

後任の者はそれを必要としないだろう。しかし、万一はんだ付けが必要となった時に困らないよう自宅で休眠状態の はんだゴテ を作業机の脇にぶらさせておいた（写真）。

写真のはんだゴテは、私が25年以上前に使っていたGoot（太洋電機産業）のTQ-80。昔はこれで様々な電子工作をしていた。しかし今は全く使っていていない。

このGootのTQシリーズは現在も販売されているベストセラーのセラミックヒーター式でこれを使って工作をしている人が多い（主として日本人）。手元のボタンを押すと急激に温度が上昇する(通常は390℃だがボタンを押すと560℃になる)。そのため、熱が必要な缶詰の缶を使ったはんだ付け工作などにも使える。
理由は判らないがTQ-80という型番だけは廃版になっていた。

約８年間、このはんだゴテ1本で様々な設備の補修や制御装置の製作に使用した。
・プレス機の電線が断線したときには現場に駆けつけてこれを使って修理した。
・制御装置を組み立てる時にも使った。
・プリント基板に電子部品をはんだ付けする時にも使った。
コテ先（Iron tip）は三種類購入して作業内容によって使い分けていた。

8年間一度もコテのヒーターが故障することは無かった。さすがHakko製である。
ただ、電源コードはオリジナルは硬くて取り回しが悪いので柔らかな電線に交換した。

これからは自宅のWork Benchで趣味の電子回路を組立てに使いづけるつもりだ。

@iFixit apparently released a 'portable' #SolderingIron called the #FixHub which runs off #USB-C #PowerDelivery and they offer a matching #PowerBank that can run two of those...
