#100DaysToOffload Day 7:
In an era of endless subscriptions, it's a relief to find a site like Buy Once Software. It's a curated collection of software that you can just purchase.

Although to get in there the owner needs to pay a small listing fee. The list seems to be ok. But it doesn't include Free and Open Source alternatives (unless they pay to be shown)

For open-source options, AlternativeTo lets you filter specifically for Open Source. A combination of both could be a nice way to find the best app for any use.

Buy Once Software

Discover a directory of one-time purchase software. Find perpetual license alternatives to subscription-based models across productivity, design, business, and developer tools.

Readwise is fine for long-form articles but isn't working out great for handling RSS feeds. Before I go back to Reeder on iOS, any other suggestions for a good RSS application that works well across #Phone iPad and Mac? Preferably syncs with feedly and can send articles to Readwise Reader?

We are looking for software to #silence a part of #MP3 files without re-encoding other parts (and thus degrading quality/integrity).

Any suggestions?

Bonus points if the software can produce #bleeping sounds too, not just silence. There was freeware many, many years ago called #mp3Trim, which could cut #mp3Files and could add #fadeIn and #fadeOut. It seemed to change discreet blocks of the mp3 file. You couldn't select precise times.
