Got to see #author #illustrator Barb DiLorenzo at the local indie #bookshop yesterday at an event for her newest #picturebook, #OneThursdayAfternoon. This book is a must have! It follows the story of a child whose feeling of comfort & safety at school is spoiled by a #lockdown drill, then tenderly & insightfully follows as her grandfather helps her process those feelings with patience, listening, & creativity (in this case painting.) #mentalhealth #socioemotionallearning #kidlit #kidlitart
