A little reflection on the sustainability of IoT devices: A device powered by human flesh is very ecological but not socially sustainable #IoT #komorebi #design #maneater #carnage #splatter #ketchup #sustainability #blood #socialsustainability #IoMusT #finction #research

Sustainability is a word hijacked by the optics of large business. The "appearance" of doing good often seems the goal instead of actually doing good. As a roaster we’ve shown it’s possible to pay part timers the living wage, full timers a lot more, give full sick pay, pensions and any educational help asked. On top of this we donate 2% of everything we earn. This IMO is social sustainability and a fair way to run a business. We do everything we say we do. It’s not optics
