Very proud of this policy work connected to on-ground realities done by a colleague and me. It rejects technological determinism, a moral panic approach, and punitive models. It considers how policy affects vulnerable populations differently and identifies normative assumptions hidden inside policy design. And yes, it comes from lived lifetimes.

OECD data reveals the welfare state's dirty secret: only 23% of public cash transfers to working-age people went to households in the bottom fifth of income distribution, while 20% went to the top fifth.
